Rasa works at the Dutch Institute for Sound and Vision and leads the research & innovation partnerships. She has a background in Archival & Information Sciences and Art History. Together, Nadia and Rasa worked on Archival Images of AI (Project page: Archival Images of AI). In this project they investigate how we can use existing images from digital heritage collections to create new images about AI.
Nadia & Rasa’s Three Takeaways:
- In mainstream media we are surrounded by images, language and narratives about AI that suck.
- Don’t believe the hype and don’t leave it up to Elon to determine what role AI has in our society.
- Use your own imagination when thinking about AI – it’s time to make new metaphors, imaginings and tropes.
